Choose the right vehicle
An LLC suits most operating businesses, a one-person company suits solo founders, and a branch suits foreign groups delivering a contract in Egypt. The choice affects liability, banking and licensing.
Incorporation through GAFI
Name reservation, articles of association, shareholder documents and approvals are filed at GAFI in Cairo. Legalized documents from abroad must be attested before submission.
After incorporation
Tax card, commercial register, social insurance file and a corporate bank account complete the setup. Skipping the compliance file is the most common cause of later penalties.
